A Peek Inside The New Hello Kitty Grand Cafe
Break out those kitty ears! The Hello Kitty Grand Cafe has launched in Orange County!
Hello Kitty Grand Cafe offers a supercute menu featuring freshly baked cookies, cakes, donuts, seasonal goodies, and handmade hot and iced drinks, along with a selection of Hello Kitty Cafe merchandise and a sweet seating area to enjoy the experience.
Shopping is hard work so the next time you’re at the Irvine Spectrum, stop into the cafe for Hello Kitty Pocket Pie, mini hot donuts, rose water iced tea, and strawberry mint lemonade. You can also perk up with espresso or a blended frozen mocha chip. The cafe also offers seasonal selections, currently a lemon tart and a lemon honey pocket pie.
Looking to experience everything the Grand Cafe has to offer? Then step into the Bow Room for Afternoon Tea or an evening Kitty Cocktail!
This hidden pink oasis features an afternoon menu of sweet and savory treats such as buttermilk scones, raspberry macarons, pretzel croissants, and dill cream cheese. Oh, and they have tea of course: japanese cherry, lychee peach, masala chai, wuyi oolong, rosehips & hibiscus, white tip jasmine, and more. Plus, if you’re a day drinker, like me, they also offer a selection of wine.
The evening Cocktail Service brings out the hard stuff in the cutest of ways with drinks like the Hello Kit-Tea (japanese whiskey, jasmine tea, lime, depaz syrup, yuzu, cream), You Had Me At Hello (cachaça, aperol, lemon, sherry and pineapple), and Pink Bow (gin, raspberry, lemon, liquor 43, aquafaba). The only major flub I see here is the Picture Perfect (bison grass vodka, strawberry shrub, lemon, strawberry popping boba). I mean how could they not have called it the Picture Purr-fect? Talk about a FAIL! I’m sure I’ll forgive that while sipping on my Aloha Kitty (vodka, pineapple, yellow chartreuse, lime).
No themed experience would be complete without being able to take home a piece of the pink, so be sure to exit through the gift shop to pick up your Hello Kitty t-shirt, cafe mug, cafe chef plush, and chubby bunny rose gold bow headband!
You’ll find the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe at the Irvine Spectrum Center (860 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92618). Just look for the Giant Wheel! Oh, and the cute kitty, of course.
The Cafe experience takes walk-ins, but be sure to make reservations for The Bow Room.
