PUBG On Xbox One

One of the most well known MMO Battle Royale games out there right now is PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds, better known as PUBG and it is finally making its way above ground.

After about a year of PC popularity, PUBG originally announced it’s intent to release on XBone at E3 2017. Last week during the yearly games convention known as Gamescon, Microsoft announced that they would be coming out of the testing and development arena where it has been in testing for 8 months, known as the Games Preview Program on Sept. 4th, 2018. This means that they think after nearly 20 patches and rebuilds it’s finally been tweaked enough that it’s ready for public consumption on the Xbox One.

Scheduled for release on digital and disc formats, the game will come with new weapons, vehicles and dynamic weather, as well as a bunch of other goodies. A new map, called Sanhok is a small 4×4 map that will lead to some intense firefights. Also included in the new version will be a new play mode called “War Mode”, which is a deathmatch style battle royale in which you gain points for kills and reviving your teammates. The release is also going to include a variety of in-game purchases and microtransactions, like missions rewards, and levels.

What content are you hoping to see? Is this realistic MMO going to be able to compete with the abundant and fanatical presence of the cartoony Fortnite? Comment your feelings and feedback below!
